Wood County Dog Shelter launches volunteer program | Community Spirit
BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) - The Wood County Dog Shelter will now allow community members to volunteer for the first time.
Dog lovers can volunteer to do a wide variety of tasks at the shelter, from walking and interacting with dogs at the Shelter to assisting with an Animal Awareness Program and other educational and outreach programs.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and are required to submit an application and complete an orientation program and training session before assisting at the shelter. Those with criminal convictions for animal cruelty, abuse, neglect, dog confinement or licensing are not eligible.
