2 uninjured after very rough landing at BG airport
BOWLING GREEN, OH (WTOL) - Pilot Bradley Newman of Tiffin and passenger Leo Eggert were uninjured after the plane slid off the runway upon landing.
It happened just after 1 p.m. Sunday at the Wood County Regional Airport.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating. Troopers said the single engine propeller plane was coming in for a landing when the front gear locked up. The plane slid off the runway, and the gear snapped.
Eggert is a captain with the Toledo Police Department and pilot of TPD's Air One helicopter.
